Pergut® chlorinated rubber – durable protection with anti-fouling coatings

Pergut® is the trademark of a group of powdered chlorinated polymers. This coating system is employed as a heavy duty corrosion protection coating. The unique BayerMaterialScience process guarantees that the product has an extremely low content of tetrachloromethane (C Cl4). Pergut® contains less than 0.005% pbw (= < 50 ppm) of tetrachloromethane and complies with all regulatory requirements worldwide.

Pergut® chlorinated rubber is supplied as a white powder. It contains between 64.5% and 67% of chlorine and has a density of 1.6 g/cm3. The individual grades show a varying molecular weight – and consequently a varying viscosity.
Coating for the below water-line area of a ship. the coating protects the ship body from biological growth like algae or sea shells, resulting in significantly lower fuel consumption and CO² emission
