Polychloroprene – Baypren® - The ideal solution for the production of contact adhesives


Baypren® is a 2-Chlorine-Butadiene-(1,3 )-polymer (Polychloroprene), manufactured in a unique production process. Good solubility in organic solvents and a high crystallization rate make it an ideal raw material for the production of contact adhesives. After just a brief surface drying Baypren® grades are able to produce a bond of immediately measurable strength. This makes them particularly suitable for footwear applications, the furniture and the automotive industries as well as for do-it-yourself applications, to just name a few.

Baypren® can be used as a one-component-system or in combination with isocyanate crosslinkers of a Desmodur® R- type as a two-component-system to obtain modified properties.
