Polyurethane raw materials for reactive adhesives

Reactive one- and two-component polyurethane adhesives and sealants obtain their property profile by crosslinking with polyisocyanates. Polyisocyanates determine properties like elasticity, cohesion and strength of the finished product. The large portfolio of polyisocyanates and polyols of Bayer MaterialScience makes it possible to formulate reactive adhesives for a large range of properties and applications.

The mechanical properties and the adhesion of the adhesive film are determined by:
        • The functionality and the molecular weight of the polyol
        • The type, the functionality and the NCO-content of the polyisocyanate
        • The number of urethane and/or polyurea groups
        • The crosslinking density that can be obtained in function of the molecular weight and the functionality of all components
