Polyurethane systems for coil coating - the best combination of hardness and flexibility

Polyurethane systems are characterized by an excellent balance between hardness and flexibility, outstanding resistance to chemicals and good weather stability. They are preferred in applications requiring extremely good post-formability (suitability for deep drawing) and resistance properties.

Bayer MaterialScience offers a comprehensive range of binders and crosslinkers for one-component polyurethane stoving systems as well as corresponding starting formulations for primers, top coats and backing coats.

The coating systems can be finetuned by selecting specific raw material components. This "building block" principle allows the formulation of coil coatings with a very broad range of properties.
