Marine coatings – Fast application with polyurethane systems

Down times for service and maintenance are becoming ever shorter which puts very demanding requirements on corrosion protection.
Polyurethane coating systems can meet these requirements perfectly and they provide excellent protection: Even at low temperatures they are curing fast, which is a crucial factor when it comes to accelerating the coating process. In addition, they are resistant against both salt and fresh water, diesel fuel and most chemicals. Polyurethane systems are also excellent solutions for systems using sacrificial anodes and external power sources.

Aromatic and aliphatic polyisocyanates of the Desmodur® range with their reaction partners of the Desmophen® range provide reliable corrosion protection in base coats, intermediate coats or top coats. Aliphatic polyurethane systems show particularly good lightfastness and very good weather resistance.
